Laughter is Healing, Good Thoughts Attract Good Health

Understanding the Law of Attraction is most critical to your success in recovering optimal health and acquiring hope.

Simply put the Law of Attraction states that ‘I attract into my life whatever I give my energy, focus and attention to, whether unwanted or wanted or conscious or unconscious.’ This means that you can have anything you choose, no matter how big it is, even better health, despite your current situation. This means if we learn how to apply the law of attraction, we can learn how to achieve miracles of healing. We can achieve greater levels of function and recovery.

healing in laughterThe Law of Attraction works because we all have one infinite Power; a God, Higher Power or Universe, and that we all guide ourselves by laws; natural laws of the universe, such as the law of gravity and the law of attraction.

The law of attraction can best be described as a magnetic force, that like thoughts attract like experiences. That these laws of nature are so precise, that when man thinks about things, he or she can accomplish miracles. The law of attraction says that everything in your life is attracted to you by your thoughts. The Universe takes these thoughts as instructions, and manifests what you think about and focus on, into your life’s experience.

For example, if you think and focus about how sick, tired and emotionally strained you are, you will become sicker, tired and emotionally strained.

The more you think and focus on your current situation, wanted or unwanted, the more tolerable or intolerable your situation will become. If you worry and are angry about your loss of function and pain from your illness or about not having good health, you are practically guaranteeing yourself an experience of lack of health. If you are constantly jealous and bitter towards others, as they have health and you do not, you are going to attract more jealousy and bitterness into your experience. What you resist persists and what you fear perseveres.

Our thoughts have frequencies, so when you think about or imagine what you want, such as good health, the ability to exercise, the ability to feel good, your thoughts go out to the universe or Higher Power and the universe or Higher Power brings it to you. So if you see yourself living in a healthy body, you will attract this into your experience. So whether you are thinking about your past experiences, your present situation or your future, and whether you are remembering, observing or imagining, the universe or Higher Power is listening and responding by bringing that thought and those things right back to you.

Attracting Thoughts and Things by Using your Mind

Your mind is a sender and receiver of information far beyond the five senses. You can attract thoughts and things into your life, just by using your mind. Think about driving on some remote country road. You try scanning your radio to find a new radio station for some good traveling music. Until you tune into a station, you will not hear the music. But that does not mean that it is not already out there, nor that other people are not already listening to it.

The same principle applies to whatever you are attracting into your life. What you are experiencing is dependent upon what frequencies your thoughts are emitting their information on. When you send it out thoughts or information, a message to the Universe or Higher Power, by the power and vibrations of your mind and of your thoughts, you will attract it back to you, into your experience. It is quite a complex theory the first time you hear and consider it. But as you think about it and look around into your world, you will see that indeed this is true.

Chronic Ways of Thought

If one has a prolonged negative chronic way of thinking about their illness, according to the law of attraction, these thoughts will manifest into existence. Their experience will be that of chronic illness and lack. If one is thinking about how bad it is, then they will get more of how bad it is. If one is thinking of how good it is, then they will get more of how good it is. If one is thinking of how good their health is, they will have more good health. If one can accept and practice this concept, one can transform their life.

the healing power of laughterThe key concept to take away is that we are all the architects of our life, good or bad. All of our problems are created by us and us alone, not by your parents, partner, boss, friends, accident, disease, upbringing or family.

All of our successes were created by us and us alone, not by luck or chance. We have created them, each and every one. This may be really difficult to accept if this is the first time you are hearing this concept. But once you do, your life can transform into a whole new world, with unlimited possibilities and success, good health, hope and joy.

Life is full of challenges, when faced with a chronic illness or injury, one can either focus on lack and feel blame, or learn from their situation. One can be a victim or a victor. When one chooses to be a victim, he or she blames others, blames their circumstances or blames themselves, they focus on the lack.

When one chooses to be a victor, they learn from the situation and grow to be even stronger than before, they use their new knowledge, make positive changes and increase their fulfillment. Are you choosing to be a victim or a victor? Learn how to acquire hope and be a victor!

We have the power to attract more good things, more good health into our experience.

One just needs to learn how to apply the laws of attraction and remain focused on what he or she really wants. Consistent thought and affirmations will shift your mind and your energy and allow greater health to come into your experience. Most times, this is a learned skill and hope is acquired. Faith comes from prolonged, sustained and subconscious hope.

Why worry

What does worrying do? If you could be relaxing by the sea with a cool wind blowing in your hair right now would you be  able to enjoy it? Or would you be worrying about what’s going on back home?

no worriesMost of us can probably think of someone we know who seems to worry about every litttle thing

Having a chronic illness can seem to present us with a long list of justified reasons to worry. We worry if we should take it easy and rest for tomorrow’s tasks or if we should do all we can now, in case we end up feeling worse the next day. We limit ourelves as we ask ‘can I do it all?’ and even worry that we might not even be able to do some of it. We worry when our body goes downhill and we also worry when we are in remission. Maybe it won’t last. We worry about countless other things like raising our children, financial burdens, if we could be an adequate partner, mother, sister etc, about how to keep a positive attitude or whether we are in denial and we probably all have those intimate moments when we worry and wonder whether God is listening to our prayers.

He does hear our prayers and knows our worries, but our worries are in vain because everything is already in His hands. He’s already taken care of everything.

So you don’t ever need to worry about tomorrow or about anything that is happening in and around you. We have nothing to worry about! God knows our needs better than we know our own needs. And He knows not only what we need today, but also what we will need in the future; He’s already taken care of it. He promises to not only take care of our needs, but that he will fill our need in a glorious way. Besides, worry doesn’t do any good! What solutions can it offer? It is our attitude about the perceived lack of control that makes our experience seem much worse than it is. Worrying does not add an hour to our life. If anything it probably takes a few hours off of our life through the sheer stress of worrying. It has the opposite effect of laughter, depleting the immune system instead of boosting it so maybe a laugh or two at your situation could be a real turnaround.

Occasional worrying is a part of our human nature. The important thing is to not let it consume us. Allow yourself to relax,  breathe deeply and meditate or visualise yourself being surrounded by soothing compassion. Soothe means to calm or comfort with soft words. Imagine God’s soft voice in answer to your prayers about your worries and allow God the opportunity to soothe you.

Worry can control you, even consume you; when you are overwhelmed with anxiety your focus has moved away from trust in God and apprciation of life. Do not be anxious about anything, but give thanks and trust that there is a greater wisdom here.  Often if you look you can find the gift in any adversity that makes it all worthwhile. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds.

Whatever troubles we are experiencing, whatever illness we are going through they are always temporary and smaller than the bigger universal and eternal picture and we are also given  the means to cope and the opportunity to learn and find peace.

Positive Living With Chronic Illness

Tired of Living with a chronic illness? Of course you are. Tried traditional medicine or certain alternative practices and found they haven’t completed the healing? But have you tried the Doctor Within?

C. G. Jung, the great Swiss psychiatrist, believed that when we sleep, we come in contact with a healing force that is not as available during waking hours. This is quite an uncommon statement in light of modern beliefs in the restorative power of contemporary medicine.

But Jung’s statement came to life when it was authenticated in one of my dream seminars.

Part of the all-day dream workshop I conducted included a dream incubation and induction that prepared people to have a meaningful dream that evening on any life issue or problem that was resistant to resolution. As usual, a high percent of the participants fell asleep during the induction and several of those remembered a helping dream. (The incubation is a technique for asking a dream for an answer to a specific question, and the induction is a guided imagery with deep contemplation that brings about a problem-solving dream.)

Meditation , guided imagery, breathing exercises, deep contemplation,  listening to relaxing music whilst focusing on the issue at hand are all excellent ways to address the problem amd often bring about surprisingly good results. It is a question of finding the right one that works for you.

One young lady had a foot neuropathy that had been troubling her for two years. She had tried numerous medicines and procedures, but nothing worked. The following is a transcription of her exact words concerning her healing dream during my dream seminar and its aftermath.

“Nothing was as pressing as the throbbing pain in my foot. Did I think it would work? No! But I was in so much pain I thought I would give it a try. A psychologist had told me years earlier that I couldn’t relax enough for hypnotherapy and terminated my “quit smoking” sessions. Whenever I was in a training presentation on visualization, meditation, or relaxation, I would scoff silently at these techniques because I thought they were silly and useless. I think what made the difference this time was that the dream induction took place halfway through the seminar. By that time, there was a very peaceful environment, and the material was so interesting, credible, and thought-provoking.

chronic illness + pain managementHer dream follows: I saw an image of my foot, and I could see through it like I had x-ray eyes. Suddenly, a bright light scanned and enveloped my foot, penetrating into the interior.

I sensed and knew it was a healing light. When I came out of the induction, I was pain free. I think I remembered everything, and it feels great to be pain free. Oh! One other thing, I did have some moments of doubt after I had my healing dream, and every time I had those doubts, the pain would return. I expressed this to a woman sitting next to me, and she said, “Keep believing and hold fast to your healing.” She was right. When the doubt went away, the pain would go away. It happened a few more times during the following weeks, but I remembered what she said and have held fast to my healing. I checked with her nine months after this experience, and she was still pain free. The inner and outer features of this curing experience point out the dual nature of the healing route we can often take. When these two forces come together according to an individual’s needs, they can become a powerful wonder drug.

If you can ’stop’ long enough to allow healing to occur – which is a very natural process that often only requires us to drop our resistances and deeply relax and trust, miracles can and do happen. The only thing left is your choice of a technique to allow that to happen, whether it is through dream technique, laughter, guided meditation, energy work such as EFT, relaxing with music or binaural beats, hypnosis and so on

The potential for healing and the healing power is always already here. We simply need to learn how to tap into it … and the key lies in relaxing and trusting our higher power
